Job Summary:

Leads team of Process Control Analysts to continuously improve compliance to Standard Work and reduction of variation in processes throughout the facility. 

Primary Duties:

  • Organize and lead internal process auditing program to regularly provide department leaders with statistical evidence of Standard Operating Procedure compliance
  • Lead and assist Process Control team in performing root cause analysis to determine root cause of variation in processes
  • Provide support to Group Leads and Supervisors to establish and maintain Standard Work
  • Lead and assist Process Control team in identifying process failures by researching documented customer issues and internal audit data
  • Effectively communicate root causes and countermeasures to Customer Service and OPS leadership
  • Develop an understanding of overall Dorman operational processes
  • Ensure daily requirements are met or exceeded by monitoring and tracking productivity of personnel and reporting on metrics


Key Accountabilities:

  • Coach, counsel, and train contributors  
  • Assist supervisor in motivating personnel to perform at optimum productivity and accuracy levels
  • Manage workflow in department
  • Participate/lead continuous improvement projects
  • Timely and regular attendance


  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a Lean environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Access)
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively toward a stated goal with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt, accept, and promote changes while encouraging a team environment to achieve business goals
  • Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and convey information to assigned team  
  • Must possess sound interpersonal and communication skills in several forms, including written, verbal, memos, reports and emails
  • Good analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; College experience preferred   


Physical Requirements:

Capability to lift 45 pounds. Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.  Noise level is usually moderate.
