Job Summary

Dorman Products is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in our brand new 100,000 sq ft manufacturing facility to manage and oversee our warehouse facility and operations. You will manage the Receiving Department, handling all incoming materials and supervise the transport of materials to production lines and all other departments. This role is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with the flexibility to be available on the weekends as needed. If you desire the freedom to pursue new ideas, offer different perspectives, and grow in your career, apply today! 

Primary Duties

  • Supervise contributors at multiple locations throughout the warehouse
  • Responsible for all aspects of running the warehouse property and facility
  • Manage the receipt and distribution of 100% of all materials needed for production lines
  • Ensure the Receiving department receives supplies in a timely manner and ensure distribution of materials reaches productions lines within required timeframes
  • Develop and drive continuous improvement activities
  • Review daily production schedule and ensure demands are met through proper scheduling of work
  • Manage, evaluate and report on departments productivity and inventory
  • Engage and collaborate with contributors in other functions of the business to assist in problem solving and actioning resolutions as necessary
  • Exercise authority to stop production to correct any quality problems
  • Evaluate employee performance to achieve a high level of output, write performance reviews and corrective actions  
  • Ensure employees are aware of and provided with proper protective equipment and trained on chemical use and emergency exits in the department
  • Review data and trends on production and recommend continuous improvement activities

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership and organization skills 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP and data entry software
  • Broad knowledge of quality control, production methods and Supply Chain
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one location to another, and speak and actively listen.  Noise level is usually moderate.

Education / Experience

  • Advanced education in logistics, management or related field desired
  • 3 to 5 years previous experience required
