Job Summary
Join our dynamic and expanding Talent Acquisition team at Dorman as a Contract Recruiter in Chennai, India. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated group of Recruiters, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and Hiring Managers to enhance our engineering, product, and operations capabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to a thriving environment while advancing their career in recruitment. This is a direct 12-month contract role (possibility for extension and hire) with Dorman (we will not be utilizing any third-party or agency contracts).
Primary Duties
- Partner with hiring managers to develop innovative sourcing strategies, identifying the best platforms and channels to connect with top talent.
- Utilize comprehensive recruitment best practices to source candidates, employing current strategies such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Outreach, Candidate Experience Management, and Relationship Management.
- Craft and refine engaging recruiting materials that resonate with qualified candidates and highlight the unique culture and opportunities at Dorman.
- Coordinate a seamless and structured interview process, ensuring candidates are thoroughly assessed and supported throughout the hiring journey.
- Exhibit strong interviewing skills by effectively evaluating candidate responses and qualifications during interviews.
- Compile and present employment offers based on careful analysis and candidate evaluation.
- Collaborate with compensation teams to prepare requisitions and obtain necessary approvals to initiate recruiting efforts.
- Monitor and track key metrics related to recruiting activities to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.
- Generate reports on recruiting progress, analyze trends, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance the overall recruitment process.
- Engage in recruitment research projects, suggesting process improvements that can increase the candidate flow and streamline operations.
- Communicate offers effectively, managing candidate expectations, addressing concerns, and successfully closing candidates.
- Be adaptable and ready to tackle other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the Talent Acquisition team.
Education / Experience
- Min 4 - 6 years of experience as a Recruiter or Technical Recruiter, with a solid understanding of automotive, engineering, quality, and product roles and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with candidates and hiring managers in both India and global teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Qualifications
- Proven ability to support an innovative, fast-growth environment.
- Understanding of using social media to recruit
- Solid knowledge and experience with behavioral interviewing.
- Strong business acumen and negotiation skills are required.
- Strong computer literacy skills with the Microsoft Office Suite.
