Dayton Parts is seeking a Warehouse Trainer to join our growing team in Shiremanstown, PA! In this role you will support training for new hires as well as temps while assisting supervisors with planning training schedules, and ensuring that training requirements are met. Apply today!

 

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (Shift hours may vary).

 

Primary Duties:

  • Support Equipment and OJT training schedule for F/T New Hires and Temps.
  • Assists Supervisor and Training Coordinators with planning cross-training schedules.
  • Must be flexible to train on different shifts.
  • Assist Training Manager with creation of Procedures and Forms specific to Equipment and OJT Training.
  • Ensure daily training requirements are met or exceeded by monitoring and tracking training of personnel.
  • Maintain accurate training records for department and assist with updating Contributor training records.
  • Retrain and recertify forklift operators as needed
  • Assist with order processing team in pulling orders as needed.
  • Participate in training meetings and projects.
  • Assist with evaluations/reviewing new contributors
  • Assist safety manager and department supervisors in the safe and efficient operation of the department.
  • Work with training coordinators, operations supervisors, and mentors in transitioning of new contributors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.  Noise level is usually moderate. Capability to lift up to 70 pounds required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Can present and facilitate training classes in front of large groups (knows PowerPoint.
  • Valid equipment certification.
  • Prior experience as an equipment trainer in a distribution environment.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Has excellent performance and safety records – no active warnings in file.
  • Willing to work overtime as required.
  • Adheres to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Has ability to assume leadership responsibilities, works with minimal supervision and able to follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Is proficient in time management, planning, and forward thinking. 
  • Has Industrial Equipment and Material Handler experience and/or has ability to pass the motorized industrial equipment training course.
  • Strong self-motivation and high attention to detail.
