Position: Warehouse Group Leader

Pay Grade:Warehouse Level 5

Shift Hours: Various 8 and 12 hour shifts

Reporting: Report to Warehouse Shift Supervisor

Environment: Warehouse atmosphere

 

Core Responsibilities:    
-    physical pulling of various products to fill customer orders
-    reading and interpreting floor paperwork
-    initialing/verifying documents with moderate writing involved
-    verifying correct part numbers
-    verifying and counting of product/pieces
-    proper packaging/boxing of product and/or building of skids for shipment to minimize possible damage during shipment
-    operation of warehouse equipment including: stacker, picker, and/or forklift
-    pulling of product from top bin locations within the warehouse
-    use of radio frequency bar-code gun/equipment
-    physical requirements of pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, and lifting of product (could include lifting spring weight up to 150-200#s with the assistance of another employee)
-    Uses the “Help Chain” when problems with materials, tooling or equipment occurs
-    Attends company and departmental meetings as scheduled
-    Uses the “Help Chain” to analyze and resolve work/employee problems
-    Completes daily paperwork as assigned 
-    Follows all standards to ensure safety, quality and delivery of products
-    Assists training workers in safety policies
-    Assist in inspecting work in progress and finished product
-    Has a “Can Do” attitude and is able to work within team environments as a team player
-    Assists Shift Supervisor by supervising a warehouse team in daily work flow and logistics processes
-    Other duties assigned

-    employees may be asked and/or required to work over-time on an as needed basis
-    employees are expected to learn as much as possible so they are cross-trained in other areas (flexible employees)

-    highly organized
-    excellent communication and interpersonal skills
