Job Summary

As a key leader within our organization, you will perform essential leadership duties, ensuring that all contributors are adequately trained and that they work in a safe, efficient, and productive environment. Your role is crucial in driving both team performance and adherence to our quality standards, setting the tone for the workplace culture and operational success.

Primary Duties

  • You will assist the department supervisor in the safe and efficient operation of our department, stepping in to fill the supervisor's role during their absence as needed.
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of all functions within your area is vital. You will ensure that productivity and accuracy standards are consistently met.
  • You will monitor personnel daily to ensure that requirements are met or exceeded, applying effective tracking and productivity measures.
  • Maintaining precise records for the department is essential to uphold our operational standards and drive continuous improvement.
  • Additional responsibilities will be assigned as necessary, allowing you the opportunity to contribute to various projects and initiatives within the department.

Qualifications

Key Accountabilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor team compliance regarding procedures such as picking, packing, material handling, auditing, safety, and housekeeping, promoting a culture of safety and cleanliness
  • Utilize computer applications to enter and analyze data effectively, producing necessary reports and documentation for operational improvement
  • Engage in coaching and training of team members, fostering their individual growth and improving overall team performance
  • Assist supervisors in motivating team members to maximize their productivity and accuracy, fostering a positive work environment
  • Participate actively in department meetings and contribute to departmental projects that aim for operational excellence

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership or managerial capacity, showcasing a history of team success and collaboration
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships in a team-based environment
  • Basic mathematical skills to recognize number patterns and perform computations accurately
  • A commitment to continuous self-improvement, engaging with learning and development opportunities

Education / Experience

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required to ensure foundational knowledge.
  • Additionally, one to three months of related experience or training will significantly enhance your ability to succeed in this position.
