Job Summary
Dayton Parts is seeking a Strategic Pricing Manager to oversee day-to-day pricing administration operations while providing cross-functional support to initiate and execute pricing strategies around maximizing sales and profitability. This is a hybrid role with the expectation to be onsite 3 days per week.
Primary Duties
- Daily oversight of Dayton pricing administration in a high demand, fast-paced setting
- Drive appropriate price and discount offerings across and between all customer distribution channels
- Administer competitive pricing intelligence management process across the organization
- Liaison to Sales and Product organizations for quote construction and competitive threat analysis
- Support ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and enforcement of Dorman’s Brand Protection Policy
- Produce monthly reporting packages around profitability, elasticity, and price change flowthrough
- Support all functional areas with general pricing requests as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be highly proficient in MS Office products, particularly MS Excel
- Ability to lead contributors by example with clear expectations and an empowering approach
- Naturally curious, highly analytical, and interested in using data to drive decisions
- Ability to synthesize information into key messages for appropriate audiences
- Professional and personable attitude with a strong desire to support the business
- Effective written and verbal communication with ability to develop strong cross-functional partnerships
- Organized, energetic, accurate and detail oriented
- Works well in a team environment
Education / Experience
- Five or more years of B2B industry experience in pricing, finance, business analytics, or category management is preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferably in business; MBA a plus
