We’re hiring a Truck Driver at our corporate warehouse facility located in Shiremanstown, PA.
Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm (Home Daily)
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive vehicle to transport materials to and from specified destinations, primarily between our Shiremanstown Warehouse and Harrisburg Manufacturing Plant.
- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
- Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, in accordance with regulations.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios. ·
- Drive company vehicle in a safe manner
- Verifying correct part numbers
- Verifying and counting of product/pieces
- Any other work assignments
Physical Responsibilities:
- Climb in and out of vehicles numerous times throughout the shift
- Alternate between walking and sitting
- Constant climbing, stopping, twisting and turning while performing Groundman duties
Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid CDL class A Driver's License
- Prefers warehouse/distribution experience
- Prefers forklift experience
