Dayton Parts is seeking an Assistant Product Manager to join our growing team in Shiremanstown, PA! The Assistant Product Manager will support the Product Managers in increasing the profitability of our existing products as well as the development of new products. Assistant Product Managers will also conduct all research and data analysis to support the Product Managers. This individual must show ability to think strategically, 6-12 months out, and adjust/plan accordingly to drive results and successful projects to completion. Primary Duties:

  • Work with product managers to develop business plans to achieve company revenue goals.
  • Develop and deliver projects for Dayton Parts products, and support cross functional projects as needed.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide product engineering, development, management, and sales solutions.
  • Assist with the creation of product positioning, benefit arguments and sales arguments for the target segments.
  • Create, maintain, and report high-level project dashboards and metrics.
  • Analyze competitive marketplace and industry trends.
  • Suggest pricing strategies and guidelines for new product development.
  • Research new product adds using the new product ideas database, sales history tables, etc.
  • Conduct market research through methods such as: visiting dealers, attending shows, holding bid package meetings, etc.
  • Obtain customer feedback, address customer issues, and suggest appropriate product revisions.
  • Provide support for marketing collaterals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education/Experience:

  • B.S. degree in Business preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 or more years’ experience in Product Management, Marketing, Data Analysis, or Strategic Sourcing preferred.
  • Product knowledge within the Automotive/Heavy Duty Truck Industry preferred.
  • Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong understanding and hands on experience with QA processes and methodologies.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel including pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.
