Job Summary

The Queue Clerk is responsible for managing the picking queue to assure flow of product to dock zones to comply with daily production goals.

Primary Duties

  • Ensure daily plan is met by coordinating of tasks, assigning work priorities, verification and management of documentation associated to area.
  • Review the work forecasts daily plan and assist assigning pick productivity requirements to meet the overall building objectives.
  • Partner with pick supervisors to balance labor ensuring that the shift is operating a balanced and efficient shift while meeting all goals.
  • Proactively identify productivity shortfalls and communicate shortfalls to the shift management team
  • Ensure a constant workflow
  • Ensure a good and healthy work environment through the compliance of procedures, company policies, operational and safety standards.
  • Filling in as needed with production duties
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

  • Excellent math skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
  • Must be proficient in working with and utilizing: Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet navigation and SAP.
  • Must be proficient in composing simple correspondence to internal and external customers.
  • Must have general knowledge of the business.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Proficient in time management, planning, and forward thinking.
  • Ability to assist in projects for process improvement.
  • Ability to follow and promote company policies and procedures.
  • Good analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Education / Experience

Six months to one-year related experience and/or experience as a clerk or back up clerk preferably in Outbound Operations releasing orders.
