Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for material handling activities and performing various aspects of cycle counting and inventory analysis.
Primary Duties
• Perform inventory transactions pertaining to material control requirements.
• Identify, label, and pull parts and move to correct location as requested by production or per production schedule.
• Analyze and recommend solutions to material control issues.
• Cycle count a variety of materials on a daily, monthly or as needed basis.
• Review inventory, current activity & past activity, and process corrections as necessary.
• Perform root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies including searching to locate any misclassified or missing inventory.
• Report discrepancies of over / under or any damaged products
• Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed.
• Perform receiving duties as needed.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities.
• Manages the distribution of all received packages to their proper locations.
• Responsible for receiving, inspecting, labeling, and stocking stockroom parts per process specifications and IATF standards.
Qualifications
• Excellent organizational skills and an exceptional attention to detail are essential.
• Experience with AS400 based MRP/ERP systems preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Access
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all employees & suppliers
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Education / Experience
• High school diploma/GED required, advanced education desired
• Previous inventory control, MRP, and stockroom experience is desired
