Laser Operator

Primary Duties

• Operate the CNC laser cutting machine and other machinery used in the production processes or assist other machine operators.
• Ability to operate and navigate in a windows-based computer environment.
• Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
• Knowledge about shield gases used during laser cutting operation.
• Assist in routine laser maintenance and repair on machine.
•  Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Work with all departments to schedule work.
• Produce parts to print specifications using allotted standard times and processes.

Qualifications

Technical skills: Blueprint reading skills and CNC operation experience are required

Lifting: Must be able to lift up-to 70lbs.

Education / Experience

Skills and abilities consistent with a high school diploma or GED
