Job Summary
The Technician Line Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting the Production Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the production line. This position focuses on overseeing and guiding the daily activities of production contributors to meet established goals. You will actively engage in training, quality checks, safety compliance, and improving production efficiency. As a leader in the department, you'll foster a collaborative, safe, and high-performance culture.
Primary Duties
- Review daily production schedules and proactively allocate resources to meet production targets. This involves adjusting schedules and work assignments based on real-time demands to ensure efficiency.
- Provide direct leadership and guidance to line contributors by assigning tasks and participating in hands-on work as necessary. Foster an environment of open communication, motivation, and support within the team.
- Lead the onboarding process for new employees and provide continuous training for current staff on job duties, safety procedures, and company standards. Ensure all team members are well-equipped to meet performance expectations.
- Conduct periodic checks to ensure work aligns with quality standards and operational procedures. Lead efforts to maintain consistency in product output by identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Regularly monitor inventory and ensure all team members have the necessary materials, equipment, and tools to perform their tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Communicate effectively with the Production Supervisor, Plant Manager, and Operations Engineering Support for assistance with equipment malfunctions or department-related challenges. Provide actionable recommendations to address issues and improve workflow.
- Accurately input and review data in CMS and Training Manager systems as needed. Ensure up-to-date tracking of production, training, and performance metrics.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing production processes, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality.
- Contribute to team success by taking on tasks beyond the immediate scope of your responsibilities when necessary, ensuring team and organizational goals are met.
Qualifications

Strong proficiency in computer systems, including the ability to navigate CMS and Training Manager.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage time efficiently, multitask, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and direct team members.

Ability to identify and resolve potential non-conformances and escalate issues as necessary.

Education / Experience

A minimum of a Two-Year Electronics Engineering Degree or equivalent technical certification.

Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Hands-on knowledge of production line operations and associated machinery.
