The Truck Driver role is responsible for the transportation of materials, vehicle operation/inspection, and other duties.
Primary Duties
· Transporting materials to and from facilities
· Load/unload truck
· Inspect truck and follow all safety protocols for vehicle inspection
· Learn & follow detailed work instructions
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities listed
below
· Operate forklift to load and unload parts off trucks
· Use tow motor and identify core locations
· Pulls pick ticket orders
· Identify and sort incoming product and takes bins from sorting stations and scans to appropriate locations
· Store parts in designated location
· Pull parts needed for production and ship to main plant
· Enter data into and review information in CMS as needed
· Participate in various improvement activities
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Valid PA Driver’s License
· Previous experience driving a box truck
· Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with coworkers
· Ability to work as a team member
· Proficient in CMS
· Must be able to obtain forklift license
· Must have basic computer/data entry skills
· Ability to stand all day, stoop & bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
· Must have clean driving record for past three years & pass DOT drug screen if assigned to drive box truck
· Commitment to meeting production demands and quality requirements
· Understand Customer requirements as they relate to their job function
· Ability to identify and address and/or communicate any potential non-conformances
· Ability to get to work on time with minimal absences
· Working Conditions: Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees
during Summer months.
Education/Experience
· High School Diploma or GED
· Previous warehouse experience required
