Electronics Assembler/Tester
Job Summary:
Electronics Assemblers/Testers are responsible for re-assembly, parts changing, inspection and testing of electronic components.
Primary Duties:
- Learn & follow detailed work instructions
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities listed below
- Test parts by connecting them to harness & running program
- Re-assemble units and cases
- Load and unload parts in freezer and/or oven
- Record data to meet production and quality requirements
- Inspect parts for non-compliance throughout process
- Place parts on appropriate carts, bins and other designated areas
- Arrange parts in fixtures and place components as needed
- Apply adhesive and sealant
- May apply potting using hand tool
- May solder to parts off and on electronic boards
- Scan labels as needed
- Participate in various improvement activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with coworkers
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Commitment to meeting production demands and quality requirements
- Understand Customer requirements as they relate to their job function
- Ability to identify and address and/or communicate any potential non-conformances
- Ability to get to work on time with minimal absences
Physical Requirement: Capability to lift up to 10 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, use hands to handle, push, assemble or feel and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous electronics assembly experience desired
- Soldering Experience is required
