Accounts Receivable Analyst

This position supports overall AR Management by coordinating all processing efforts related to customer payment application, account reconciliations, and collections. Analyst will be the liaison to resolve payment and billing discrepancies.    

Primary Duties

  • Prepare and post daily cash receipts to customer accounts in timely and accurate manner making use of current technology, and complete related reporting from receipt through general ledger.  
  • AR collections and deductions of accounts in portfolio to maximize cash flow, minimize delinquency, and minimize exposure to bad debt and sales concessions related to uncollectible AR with strong adherence to process workflows for deduction types, and by effective use of company software (ERP systems, collection software, MS Office products, and other software).  
  • Resolve payment deductions / disputes by adhering to process workflows for deduction types, and by effective use of company software (ERP systems, collection software, MS Office products, and other software).
  • Provide front line research, analysis, and follow up of payment deductions with customers, and with Dorman sales and/or operations personnel escalating issues as necessary.  
  • Deliver monthly statements to customers.
  • Provide special reports for customers and sales as needed.
  • Assist with general accounting functions, month end, auditing request and miscellaneous projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Accounts receivable, credit, collections, and customer service experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • ERP experience a plus
  • Strong keyboard/data entry skills
  • Enjoys working with numbers and customers in a high volume, fast paced environment. 
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other Microsoft office products.
  • Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.  Noise level is usually moderate

Education or Experience

  • Three plus years related experience preferred.
  • Associates degree in Accounting/Business field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
