Job Summary
Join our team as a Forklift Operator based on a full-time schedule, where you will play an essential role in the efficient handling and movement of materials within our warehouse. Your work will support our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and safe processing of orders to meet business needs. Pay for this role is $21.00 an hour.
Primary Duties
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to transport, load, and unload goods and materials.
- Inspect equipment before use to identify any safety issues or maintenance needs, reporting concerns promptly.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and supervisors to manage inventory flow and maintain organized storage areas.
- Assist with order processing tasks including picking, packing, and staging products for shipment to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, promoting a safe work environment for all team members.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory movements and equipment usage as required by company protocols.
- Participate in regular safety training and contribute to continuous improvement of warehouse operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting with a strong commitment to safety.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic inventory control processes is advantageous.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and physical stamina to perform manual tasks associated with material handling.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and supervisors.
- Certification in forklift operation and a clean safety record preferred.
Education / Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in order processing or warehouse operations will be an asset. Candidates should have completed certified forklift training and hold any required licenses relevant to material handling equipment operation.
