A Compensation & Benefits Analyst for Dorman Products supports and facilitates the design, implementation, and administration of global compensation and benefit plans and programs to align with and support the Dorman business strategy and Total Rewards philosophy. Manages the day-to-day operations of the compensation plans (salary, bonus, equity) and benefits programs (health, welfare, retirement and wellbeing programs). Improves processes related to existing programs and continually works towards enhancing and improving the employee experience.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Analyzes internal and external workforce data and utilizes benchmarking information in the designs and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs.
  • Evaluates jobs, determines pay grades, and performs associated analysis.
  • Collaborates and advises on proposed pay and job changes, including evaluating new and revised jobs and/or career paths
  • Informs and guides employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage and provisions.
  • Provides reports to management regarding compensation, benefits, and other workforce data findings.
  • Participates in and leverages compensation surveys to ensure compensation ranges and structures are competitive; identifies trends and offers creative recommendations to support engagement and retention strategies
  • Delivers competitive analysis and financial impact modeling for annual merit increase budgets, incentive design changes, and demographic reviews
  • Serves as a Dorman internal and external point-of-contact for qualified benefit plans (401k, Profit Sharing, and ESPP) and deferred compensation plans.
  • Assists in the preparation of equity grants for Compensation Committee approval
  • Proactively addresses open issues, responds to employee inquiries and manages the day to day relationship with third-party benefits administrators and service providers
  • Assists in the development and delivery of compensation and benefits communication materials
  • Maintains equity data in equity administration system
  • Supports employees and business partners with equity related questions and requests
  • Produces ad hoc analyses with quick turnarounds based on business requests

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business, Economics or related field required; SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) credential preferred
  • 7+ years of direct, relevant experience in compensation and/or benefits analysis, administration, and design required; 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in Compensation required
  • Advanced analytical, mathematical, and problem solving skills
  • Experience building, implementing, and enhancing base pay and incentive structures required
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints, handle sensitive date and multi-task so that deadlines can be met
  • Strong knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations.
  • Relevant experience working with a publicly traded company preferred
