You will be the "go-to" technical resource for the maintenance department to resolve equipment mechanical issues by utilizing root cause analysis and trouble shooting techniques. Primary Duties

  • Identify deficiencies in mechanical processes and develop improvements
  • Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for tooling, equipment, and new products
  • Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation of new equipment and designs
  • Generate working prototypes for testing
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design work
  • Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
  • Develop, initiate and manage all phases of project
  • Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
  • Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process



  • Firm grasp of engineering concepts with demonstarted experience designing mechanical systems and products
  • Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems
  • Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar
  • Thorough knowledge of GD&T drafting techniques
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Access
  • Exceptional mechanical, technical, problem-solving skills, and reasoning ability
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Self-motivated and team player


Education and/or Experience

  • Technical degree (BS) in mechanical engineering with 3+ years of experience; or
  • Associate degree with 5+ years of experience
