Dorman Products, a $1B global supplier of aftermarket automotive parts, is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Manager to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the overall quality and process control management effort at Dayton Parts in Harrisburg, PA. The incumbent will manage resources to optimize manufacturing quality, product control, warranty reduction, and implementation of a standardized quality system. Primary Duties:

  • Daily leadership of the organization’s quality function by building a high-performance team.
  • Maintain a system of quality control procedures that assures compliance to our customers’ quality requirements. Be the key face for the organization with regulatory bodies.
  • Administer the internal quality auditing program.
  • Develop a proactive, structured, documented, and measurable response system to customer quality inquires and issues, as well as to internal stakeholder inquires.
  • Reduce customer complaints using a sense of urgency to attack and resolve product quality/reliability issues, specifically with a bias for individual accountability and action, as well as robust root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Design and deploy a Continuous Improvement culture across the organization.
  • Plan, coordinate and direct all the company’s quality standards, processes, and operations, directly and indirectly through subordinate professionals, to develop, qualify, implement, and control production processes for automotive driveshafts and components.
  • Develop internal and external Quality reporting metrics focused on early recognition and corrective actions to issues and driving continuous improvement.



  • Proven success in a medium sized automotive supplier or aftermarket manufacturer.
  • Experience with implementing of a standardized quality management system such as ISO9000/ ITAF16949.
  • Knowledge of implementing control plans, process control, and lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills required.
  • Ability to lead employees to assure company goals are met.
  • Highly effective collaborator with both internal and external resources.
  • High-level of personal accountability.
  • Up to 20% travel required.


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with previous direct (hands-on) quality leadership experience in a supervisory role.
