Dayton Parts is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our growing team in Durant, OK!

Shift: Monday-Friday - 2nd Shift 2pm-10pm OR 3rd Shift 10pm-6am

Primary Duties:

  • Ensure operation of electrical systems and equipment, conveyors, programmable controllers, transformers, voltage regulators, and machinery wiring.
  • Following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, troubleshooting.
  • Responsible to perform preventive maintenance, and repairs of mainline equipment that supports the shearing, forging, heat treating and assembly processes in a timely manner with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or special machinery maintenance.
  • 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School diploma and/or associate degree or equivalent from a technical college in a related field.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Experience Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical/electrical/electronic and technical aptitude.
  • Demonstrates understanding of pneumatics, mechanics, and electronic control systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and circuit diagrams (some programing (PLC and CNC controls) preferred).
  • Knowledge and experience with 24v, 120v, and 480v circuits.
  • Understanding safety/OSHA requirements.
  • Provide technical support including troubleshooting, machines repairs, PLC’s, adjustments, elimination of bottlenecks, machine set-up, changeover execution and running equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate and perform all maintenance activities (PM, work orders, improvement projects, etc.) to effectively balance maintenance and production needs.
  • Root cause analysis to troubleshoot and eliminate primary causes of downtime, etc. to improve OEE (overall equipment effectiveness).
