Vice President, Distribution Strategy & Execution

The Vice President, Distribution Strategy & Execution is a highly visible role leading Dorman Products Global Fulfillment strategy, driving optimization and scalability of its complex network for B2B and B2C client needs.  The position will lead the strategy and execution of global fulfillment and reverse logistics. In addition, the Vice President will be Dorman’s in-house change management expert.


In this role you will be responsible for but not limited to:


  • Lead the strategy and execution of supply chain operations moving product from third party manufacturing to distribution centers to customer and back.
  • Collaborate with site leaders to execute strategy including building the approach, timelines and cost.
  • Develop and execute best in class supply chain processes including cross-border logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Own relationship with 3PL providers, partnering to continuously optimize Dorman’s warehouse strategy and operations.
  • Lead strategic labor capacity planning within our fulfillment locations.
  • Define approach and lead the expansion of technology and automation for improved competitive advantage and reduced costs.
  • Work cross-functionally with Vendors, Product, Finance, Customer Experience and Commercial teams
  • Plan and execute strategic growth initiatives across the supply chain in inventory, distribution center, order fulfillment and home delivery.
  • Subject matter expert in Dorman’s warehouse management system; recommends systems updates and leads implementation efforts.
  • Serve as a critical thought partner and provide expertise to the Operations Leadership Team.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders throughout the Operations function to get buy in and break down silos.
  • Drive the adoption of common processes, tools, and standards across the company that drive efficiency and effectiveness, in partnership with internal stakeholders.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; advanced degree a plus
  • 15+ years of successful operations experience ideally in a combination of high-volume third-party logistics provider.
  • 10+ years in a senior operations management role with P&L responsibility. This experience must include work in multiple facilities with multiple customers on a national scale.
  • Experience in ecommerce fulfillment or operations
  • Experience working with a global network of 3PLs and transportation providers
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive business decisions
  • Travel frequently to warehouse locations in the USA and internationally
