Job Summary
The Sr. Project Manager for the Quality and Engineering Systems (QES) team will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects that enhance our quality management systems, engineering and quality processes, and analytical capabilities. This role reports directly to the Director of Quality and Engineering Systems and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Product Management, Supply Chain, and IT) to drive continuous improvement initiatives. As the Sr. Project Manager - QES, you will oversee all aspects of a project, including defining project goals, creating a project plan, allocating resources, managing project teams, and monitoring progress. Your responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed, meeting all objectives, and delivering the desired outcomes. You will also be required to communicate with stakeholders, manage risks, and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on track. The ideal candidate for this role must be able to lead cross functional teams without authority while balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
This is a hybrid role with the expectation to be onsite in our corporate headquarters in the Philadelphia suburbs (Colmar, PA) 3 to 4 days per week.
Primary Duties
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of assigned projects related to quality systems, engineering processes, and analytics, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance requirements
- Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, change management, and budgeting. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and deliverables
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resource allocation, and facilitate effective communication between stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution and delivery
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules and ensure successful outcomes
- Manage the flow of work and resources within a project and ensure tasks are assigned and completed in a timely manner
- Create and maintain project documentation, including status reports, issue logs, and change management records, providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders
- Continuously evaluate and improve the project intake process to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and stakeholder satisfaction
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with project management tools (Monday.com preferred), and use of common office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong decision-making skills to make informed decisions that align with project objectives and constraints
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
