Job Summary
Dorman Products is seeking a Sr. Logistics Analyst to join our team in our corporate headquarters in suburban Philadelphia (Colmar, PA). This position is responsible for managing transportation needs and enhancing transportation strategies that support company distribution centers, Sales, Customer Service and Customer requirements. This will be achieved by service management as well as identifying, initiating and leading improvements to support business initiatives, cross-functional department objectives and elevating the Dorman Customer experience.
This role is onsite two days per week with the opportunity to work remotely three days per week.
Primary Duties
- Develop, maintain, and improve Logistics dashboards, scorecards, and reporting
- Manage reporting database in support of business operations
- Analyze reports, identifying patterns and trends, using Excel
- Perform data management through a combination of data mining, data modeling, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, process mapping, and/or problem analysis
- Perform modeling, what-if analysis, and utilize other conceptual tools to improve forecast confidence
- Review analysis on business needs, inventory movement, transit times, mode optimization, freight cost, invoice audit results and recommend improvement opportunities
- Collaborate and work with DC Operations Team to resolve logistics issues, ensure flow of product to customer, and develop improvement strategies
- Driver in change management within the Logistics Team to continually introduce efficiency and value add to activities
- Lead and/or participate in department or cross functional projects and initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to analyze and simplify complexity of data management
- High level of independence and hands on pro-active approach to solution generation
- Possess forward thinking, strong analytical capability, excellent problem solving, the ability to manage change, solid execution and a commitment to help the company meet financial objectives and exceed Customer expectations
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills are key to successful job performance
- Desire/drive to lead initiatives independently or cross functionally to meet changing requirements
- Recognized as an expert in the Logistics area with a proven track record for driving change / improvements with tangible results
- Ability to analyze large amounts of raw data and summarize into clear, accurate, meaningful, value-added reports and analysis that provide guidance for improvement
- Maintain and develop positive business relationships with internal and external Customers
- Current or future capability to mentor and mange others to higher levels of personal performance
- High proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI
- Skills in SAP, TMS systems, and Power Automate a plus
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience within Transportation / Logistics
