A Retail Merchandising Manager for Dorman Products is responsible for executing the company’s front-room retail planogram strategy - providing customer solutions that help drive permanent distribution growth across all channels, markets and assigned products. The Retail Merchandising Manager is responsible for development of product mix, concepts, designs and signage that help support the visual merchandising in customer retail store fronts. This individual is the go-to-market expert for front room planogramming and works cross functionally to execute product priorities. Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Leads the selection of products and visualization efforts for assigned categories.
  • Leads ongoing analytics of product assortment performance at all major retail accounts to ensure goals are being met and are aligned with overall strategic direction.
  • Keeps up-to-date on market trends of assigned categories to include but not limited to; key customer line review timing, ongoing market positioning vs all competitors, ensuring proper market/product positioning to maximize stakeholder sales and profitability.
  • Assists sales teams with in-field customer presentations to help close strategic revenue opportunities.
  • Helps create barriers to entry through leading development of visualization awareness tools and market positioning tactics.
  • Works directly with PM and Dorman pricing manager to ensure Dorman is and remains priced competitive with “like” value proposition alternatives.

 

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Business related field or a minimum of 5 years' related work experience
  • Solid understanding and usage of JDA Intactix Intercept software
  • Critical/ analytical/ strategic thinking skills and can organize own work and set priorities
  • Able to establish relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to interpret needs of sales to provide creative solutions for business that deliver company objectives
  • Solid understanding of the automotive aftermarket national retail and independent warehouse distributor customer go-to-market sales execution strategies is a plus
