PRIMARY DUTIES (5-7 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)

•             Safely locate, inspect and transport material to and from the work area

•             Follow sales order/customer specific instructions to correctly pack parts to ensure that product is delivered to customer intact and on time

•             Read information from and enter information into handheld scanners

•             Safely load product onto carts and pallets

•             Participate in meetings and projects

•             Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area

•             Other duties as assigned

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:

Key Accountabilities:

•             Ensure that products are picked and packaged in accordance to customer and Dorman requirements

•             Accurately locate, identify and differentiate part numbers, vendor codes and package markings

•             Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards in performance of job duties

•             Adhere to all company policies, job procedures and safety and security standards

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well with others in a team-based environment
  • Ability to recognize number patterns, add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Understand and speak fluent English 
  • Ability to operate a hand-held scanner to read and accurately input information
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and demonstrate a sense of urgency
  • Willingness to work overtime, as required
  • Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate.
