Manager, Channel Marketing

The Channel Marketing Manager is an essential part of Dorman’s Customer Marketing team, which enables our direct customers to sell our products more effectively through their channels. The Channel Marketing Manager will drive the development and deployment of our customer marketing strategy within our traditional customer channel.  The customer marketing manager is responsible for plans that support our sales organization in gaining distribution (B2B) and driving demand for our products among automotive part installers (B2C).  This includes content marketing, marketing campaign development, promotions, digital content syndication, and support of our training programs.

 

Primary Duties: 

  • Working with the VP of Marketing and Senior Director, Customer Marketing to develop the traditional customer marketing strategy.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Dorman Sales, Category Management, Product, and Marketing teams in developing best-in-class programming with key traditional customers and customer buying groups in support of our core categories and innovation.
  • Partner with the Events & Training team to build channel partnerships and deliver customized training programs to distributor teams and technicians.
  • Work with the Marketing Content & Marketing Communications teams to deploy campaign materials that drive awareness of and preference for the Dorman brand.
  • Work with Sales to implement sales activation programs to support major initiatives: brochures, new product announcements, promotions, and more.
  • Lead the deployment of a digital asset management tool (DAM) and self-serve tools to our field sales teams and top customers.  
  • Evaluate ROI for customized material requests, supporting initiatives with a high level of return.
  • Collaborate with additional Channel Marketing segments (such as National Accounts, Heavy Duty and eCommerce) to share best practices, shared campaigns and learnings

 

Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated success in driving B2B and/or B2C marketing initiatives.  A mix of channel, brand, and product marketing is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to think and manage strategically with a strong tendency towards analytics.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills.
  • Skill at working cross-functionality to ensure all goals are met satisfactorily.
  • Experience working directly with customers to meet their strategic needs.

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • At least three to five years of professional marketing experience.
