Job Summary
The IT intern for Applications will work with different cross functional teams support a range of business applications. This includes systems from SAP to different business analytics platforms to a host of custom-built systems. Tasks would include software development, technical design, IT quality assurance, requirements definition and general systems support. Platforms at Dorman range from large scale commercial systems (SAP, Salesforce, etc..) to custom development in C#/.Net. Candidate should be able to understand basics of the software development lifecycle and code management.
This is a hybrid role in our corporate location in suburban Philadelphia (Colmar, PA), work from home three times a week with flexibility to be four times a week.
Primary Duties
- Develop units of code per design specifications
- Execute unit and functional test plans
- Conduct research on different design patterns or interface options with direction from supporting team members
- Draft detail requirements / technical mappings to support system to system integration
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds.
- Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.
Education / Experience
- Education: Actively studying computer science or information systems
- Experience: General programming in any language, software testing
