The Accounting Manager will manage the general ledger and financial close processes, improve the accounting processes, create and maintain accounting policies and procedures and lead and manage 4 accounting staff in a fast paced and growing company.


•    Oversight and coordination of the monthly close process, including 
•    Period end activities in SAP and other ERP systems 
•    Prepare/review account reconciliations and journal entries 
•    Maintain intercompany billing and accounts 
•    Prepare/review consolidating entries 
•    Coordinate monthly reporting and general ledger analysis and review against budget and previous actuals 
•    Perform monthly financial closing activities in a timely and accurate manner 
•    Participate in the preparation of the quarterly and annual SEC financial reporting 
•    Manage the day-to-day activity of the general accounting department 
•    Participate in the fixed asset capitalization and reporting processes for US GAAP and tax 
•    Support the department’s development, testing and usage of key financial systems, including the enterprise resource planning system 
•    Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial policies and procedures are followed throughout the organization 
•    Identify opportunities for improvements to business processes and assist in development and implementation of new processes and policies. 
•    Manage interaction with external and internal auditors as it relates to quarterly reviews, annual audits, and periodic controls reviews 
•    Manage accounting staff including recruiting, leading, developing, training, mentoring, performance reviews and managing the workload in accordance with company policies 
•    Assist in the development, maintenance and improvement of accounting policies, memos and position papers. 
•    Assists with special projects as assigned, including, but not limited to, acquisition diligence/integration, new accounting standards implementations, technical accounting research, technology upgrades and ad-hoc reporting requests.  


•    Intermediate to advance proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) 
•    Excellent financial analysis skills 
•    Strong knowledge of US GAAP

•    Ability to maintain confidential information 
•    Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines 
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner with and maintain relationships both internally and externally 
•    Previous Accounting systems experience, preferably SAP or similar large ERP, QuickBooks, Blackline, Hyperion 
•    Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds. 
•    Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.  Noise level is usually moderate.


•    Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance 
•    5+ years of related experience required  
•    3+ years corporate accounting experience with some public or 5-8 years of only corporate account experience preferred
•    CPA or CMA certification preferred
