Job Summary: 

The Compensation Analyst utilizes their analytical skills to deliver timely, data-driven analysis and recommendations to the business to ensure market competitiveness.  

Primary Duties 

  • Conducts job evaluations on new and existing roles utilizing external market data to complete benchmarking. 

  • Makes compensation recommendations to leaders and talent acquisition that strive to attract, recognize, and retain talent throughout the organization. 

  • Completes analysis and cost modeling to make informed recommendations on projects related to salary administration, FLSA, and job analysis. 

  • Coordinates quarterly job family promotion and salary adjustment process. 

  • Assist in delivery of annual compensation process including merit increases, incentive programs, and pay structure updates. 

  • Acts as compensation module subject matter expert in Success Factors for merit/bonus planning, job creation and management, and job profile builder. 

  • Researches best practices and stays current on trends in compensation field. 

  • Completes annual survey submissions to major vendors. 

  • Assists with equity administration. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 


  • Advanced Excel skills (including v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.) and ability to complete data analysis to inform recommendations. 
  • Familiar with HRIS systems – SuccessFactors preferred. 

  • Ability to work under tight time constraints, handle sensitive date and multi-task so that deadlines can be met.   

  • Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds.  

  • Working Conditions: This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.  

Education or experience: 

  • Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business, Economics or related field required 

  • 1+ years of experience working in an analytical role
