Job Summary

Join our team as a Lead Maintenance Technician where your expertise will ensure the uninterrupted operation and safety of our critical equipment and facilities. This full-time position offers the exciting opportunity to lead and inspire a team of technicians, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and uphold the highest standards of operational excellence and safety compliance.

Position operates on 3rd shift: 5pm to 3am, with shift differential eligibility.
Compensation for this role starts at $36.50 per hour.

This role is vital in maintaining our operational integrity and requires a proactive and skilled leader committed to fostering a safe, efficient, and collaborative working environment.

Primary Duties

  • Lead, plan, and supervise all maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, and HVAC domains ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Conduct advanced diagnostics and hands-on repairs of industrial machinery, including PLC-controlled systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to swiftly resolve technical issues.
  • Develop, document, and enforce preventative maintenance programs that align with organizational goals for asset longevity and reliability.
  • Mentor maintenance team members by providing ongoing training, performance feedback, and technical support to cultivate skill development and teamwork.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to OSHA and company safety protocols to promote a zero-incident workplace culture.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of maintenance operations, equipment status, and safety inspections to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with production managers and other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules that optimize workflow and facility throughput.
  • Assist in maintenance budgeting, procurement processes, and inventory management to ensure the availability of necessary parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Participate in the evaluation and installation of new equipment and technology upgrades to improve facility capabilities.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, demonstrating leadership in crisis management and resolution efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Extensive expertise in mechanical maintenance, electrical systems, HVAC, and industrial equipment, with proven ability to perform complex diagnostics and repairs efficiently.
  • Strong leadership qualities to inspire, coach, and motivate maintenance personnel while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and develop effective long-term solutions.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS), diagnostic tools, and technical documentation.
  • Deep commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards and promoting regulatory compliance throughout all operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and clear reporting to management.
  • Flexibility and resilience to operate effectively in a dynamic industrial environment managing competing priorities.
  • Mandatory experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and diverse industrial equipment is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and implement process improvements.

Education / Experience

Candidates must possess a technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent qualification in fields such as industrial maintenance, electrical engineering technology, or mechanical technology. Additionally, a minimum of five years' progressive experience in maintenance roles with demonstrable leadership responsibilities in a manufacturing or industrial context is essential.

Completion of relevant certifications related to PLC, hydraulics, or electrical systems is highly desirable.

The US base rate for this full-time position is 36.5. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
