Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Software QA Manager to lead quality assurance activities across Embedded software, automotive control systems, model-based development, test automation, and AI-enabled Engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining QA strategies, managing a high-performing QA team, driving process improvements, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality software products that meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
Primary Duties
- Define and implement software quality assurance strategies, processes, and standards across embedded software, MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, and AI-based development projects.
- Establish and maintain Quality metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to monitor product Quality, Test effectiveness, and Team performance.
- Develop and oversee test strategies, test plans, test cases, automation frameworks, and validation activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Drive verification and validation activities for embedded software, Automotive control systems, Model-based designs, and hardware-software integrated solutions.
- Collaborate closely with software development, systems engineering, hardware, mechanical, AI/ML, and product management teams to ensure quality requirements are defined and achieved.
- Lead defect management, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and development efficiency.
- Establish and enhance automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, regression testing processes, and quality gates for faster and more reliable software releases.
- Ensure compliance with automotive and software quality standards, including ASPICE, ISO 26262, MISRA, and internal development processes where applicable.
- Oversee validation of AI/ML-based solutions, including model performance, robustness, reliability, and data quality assessments.
- Support customer audits, process assessments, quality reviews, and technical discussions with global stakeholders and suppliers.
- Manage QA documentation, quality records, test reports, traceability matrices, and process compliance artifacts.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Software QA methodologies, test management, verification, validation, and release processes.
- Hands-on experience with Test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of embedded systems architecture, hardware-software interaction, and automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, J1850 Ethernet, and UDS.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink testing frameworks, model-based verification, and software validation techniques.
- Understanding of AI/ML development lifecycles, model validation methodologies, and data-driven testing approaches.
- Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, MISRA guidelines, cybersecurity concepts, and software quality standards.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and team development skills.
- Ability to drive quality culture, process excellence, and continuous improvement across engineering organizations.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 12–15 years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, and validation.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading QA teams or managing software quality organizations.
- Experience in automotive embedded software, control systems, model-based development, or industrial automation environments.
- Experience working with global engineering teams and cross-functional product development organizations.
