Job Summary
Embark on a vital role as a Production Clerk where your precision and dedication drive seamless production operations. In this essential position, you will support the processing and management of work orders, collaborate closely with production teams, and contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and safety within our dynamic manufacturing environment.
Primary Duties
- Accurately interpret and process all components of Work Orders (WOs), ensuring thorough support for ongoing production tasks and schedules.
- Coordinate efficiently with production team members and supervisors to manage the reception, execution, and verification of work orders, fostering clear and timely communication across departments.
- Utilize SAP and other internal web-based software to document, track, and report on production workflows, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Engage fully in a flexible rotational team structure that emphasizes safety compliance, adherence to quality standards, precise execution, and open communication channels.
- Manage rework orders with diligence following established protocols to uphold product quality and minimize production delays.
- Prepare, print, and distribute labels as required by work orders or inventory management needs, supporting accurate inventory control and traceability.
- Perform detailed quality inspections on completed work orders, using data analytics from WO systems and web tools to confirm conformity to production standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute valuable insights to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing operational efficiency and enhancing product quality.
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations rigorously to ensure consistent compliance and workplace well-being.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment to support efficient operations and promote employee safety.
- Demonstrate reliability through punctual attendance and proactive management of individual work schedules, accommodating production demands and overtime requirements.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned, supporting broader team objectives and responding to evolving operational priorities.
Qualifications
- Strong numerical proficiency with attention to detail, enabling accurate handling and processing of production data and work order specifics.
- Adaptability and a team-oriented mindset to thrive in a dynamic production environment and contribute to collective goals.
- Effective communication skills, including competency with two-way radio equipment to ensure prompt coordination with production leadership and team members.
- A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, maintaining a clean safety record and compliant use of all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Physical ability to safely lift, carry, pack, stack, and wrap materials weighing up to 50 pounds consistently, supporting various stages of production workflows.
- Willingness and availability to work extended hours or overtime during peak production cycles to meet business needs without compromising safety or quality.
- Ability to follow comprehensive written and verbal instructions meticulously, demonstrating independent judgment and adherence to company policies and operational procedures.
- Comfort and proficiency in using computers and software platforms such as SAP, Google Sheets, and internet browsers essential for work order tracking and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to document accurate information and convey production statuses clearly and professionally.
- Capability to perform effectively in a warehouse setting, which involves exposure to elevated temperatures, moderate noise levels, and the physical demands of standing and walking for prolonged periods.
Education / Experience
Candidates should hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Relevant experience in clerical, administrative, or production support roles is advantageous though not mandatory. Familiarity with manufacturing or warehouse operations is preferred to facilitate swift integration into our team. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $21.20 to $28.70. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
