JOB DESCRIPTION

Work Location: Shiremanstown, PA ( HYBRID SCHEDULE)

Job Summary:

Direct support of Dorman customers regarding technical installation information. Practices and considers different approaches for continuous improvement. Maintains a positive perspective and attitude when interfacing with Dorman internal and external customers. This role will provide customer service support for the Export department.

Primary Duties

Primary Duties

  • Tech Line phone support – phone and email; Provide information on heavy duty truck parts such as specs, technical data, installation instructions, etc.
  • Answer customer phone calls and emails regarding heavy duty parts
  • Quality control follow up such as checking measurements on parts and managing complaints regarding defective parts
  • Continuous improvement of library of technical information
  • Build business acumen through continuous new product awareness and training both internal and customer facing
  • Refine and edit product instructions as necessary
  • Build cross functional relationships to resolve technical product issues
  • Provides back-up support for Export Customer Service Representative
  • Process and maintain purchase orders for special order parts
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • MS Office Suite – heavy emphasis on Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • Bilingual – English and Spanish Required (must read, write, and speak English and Spanish)
  • Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 50 pounds. Working Conditions: This is an administration job that will primarily take place in an office setting. However, while performing the duties of this job, the employee might be required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.

Education / Experience

  • 1+ years of parts counter, customer service, and/or work that is relevant to the heavy duty/automotive industry

    Pay: $19.81 - $26.00 per hour
