Job Summary
A Distribution Process Assistant supports day to day warehouse operations to ensure products move efficiently, accurately, and safely from receiving through shipment. This role helps maintain inventory integrity, supports operational workflows, guides contributors, and resolves issues that may impact productivity or delivery timelines.
Primary Duties
- Operational Support:
- Assist with daily inbound and outbound workflows to meet productivity and service-level goals.
- Coordinate tasks among warehouse contributors to maintain an efficient flow of goods.
- Inventory Control:
- Perform picking, putaway, and inventory count activities.
- Conduct physical audits to ensure stock accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Process Improvement:
- Troubleshoot workflow bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
- Ensure all activities follow established process standards.
- Quality Assurance:
- Inspect products for damage or nonconformance.
- Label, document, and route defective items according to policy.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Promote and enforce warehouse safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Documentation and System Use:
- Use SAP and WMS to track inventory, monitor shipments and generate operational reports.

- Excellent math skills

- Order Management skills and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word
- Must be able to lead a group, experience preferred
- Ability to assume leadership responsibilities and work with minimal supervision and follow written/verbal instructions
- Proficient in time management, planning, and forward thinking
- Ability to assist in projects for process improvement
- Ability to adapt, accept, and promote changes while encouraging a team environment to achieve business goals
- Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and convey information to assigned team
- Must possess sound interpersonal and communication skills in several forms, including written, verbal, memos, reports and emails
- Ability to follow and promote company policies and procedures
- Good analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Working knowledge of SAP, RF and Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task and utilize time-management skills
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three years of relevant experience
