Job Summary

Dayton Parts is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to support daily warehouse operations at our Mississauga distribution facility. This salaried role reports to the Warehouse Manager and supports daily floor execution, team accountability, productivity, accuracy, safety, and on-time customer shipments.
Regular schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility required based on business needs and daily operational priorities.
The Warehouse Supervisor will act as the Warehouse Manager’s eyes on the floor, supervising Order Processors and ensuring daily warehouse priorities are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
This role requires a hands-on floor leader who is comfortable managing performance, attendance, training, workflow, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is computer literate, data-driven, accountable, and confident holding the team to clear expectations while helping prepare the warehouse for future growth.

Primary Duties

•    Supervise daily warehouse operations, including outbound processing, receiving, putaway, staging, inventory movement, cycle counts, production orders, and housekeeping. 
•    Lead, coach, and support Order Processors while maintaining productivity, accountability, attendance, punctuality, and floor discipline. 
•    Assign daily work and balance labor between inbound, outbound, production orders, cycle counts, and other priorities to maintain workflow and control overtime. 
•    Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, audited, staged, and shipped accurately and on time. 
•    Ensure production orders and cycle counts are completed accurately and on time, in close cooperation with the Warehouse Admin. 
•    Support audit processes, KPI tracking, and daily reporting to reduce mis-ships, claims, rework, and customer complaints. 
•    Conduct daily huddles, communicate priorities, reinforce safety expectations, and follow up on performance targets. 
•    Train new hires, cross-train employees, provide coaching when required, and escalate performance or conduct concerns to the Warehouse Manager. 
•    Work closely with the Queue Master, Warehouse Admin, and Traffic Coordinator to coordinate workflow, resolve operational issues, and keep daily priorities aligned. 
•    Enforce safety rules, equipment standards, housekeeping expectations, and warehouse procedures. 
•    Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, accuracy, safety, workflow, and cost control. 
•    Operate warehouse equipment safely when required, including forklift, reach truck, stock picker, dock stacker, and pallet jack. 
•    Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

•    High School Diploma or GED required, post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Engineering or a related field is highly preferred.
•    Previous supervisory skills and experience.
•    Strong computer literacy is required, especially with Excel, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Outlook, Teams, and warehouse reporting tools.
•    Ability to create, update, analyze, and maintain performance trackers, KPI reports, attendance records, audit logs, and daily operational reports.
•    Knowledge of SAP or a similar warehouse/inventory management system is required.
•    Experience in using RF scanners and warehouse technology required.
•    Experience operating forklift, reach truck, stock picker, dock stacker, and pallet jack required.
•    Valid equipment licenses/certifications required or ability to obtain/renew as required.
•    Knowledge of continuous improvement principles such as 6S, Lean, Kaizen, waste reduction, standard work, and root cause analysis preferred – Green belt is preferred.
•    Distribution, automotive, heavy-duty truck parts, or industrial parts experience is an asset.
•    Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, follow-up, and decision-making skills.
•    Must be hands-on, accountable, results-oriented, calm under pressure, and confident holding team accountable.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $69,700.00 to $92,400.00. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
