Job Summary
The Technical Support Specialist provides front-line support for IT systems, hardware, software, and network issues across the organization. This role is responsible for troubleshooting technical problems, assisting users, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and skilled in diagnosing and resolving a wide range of technical issues.
Primary Duties
User Support
- Respond to helpdesk tickets, emails, and calls to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Provide support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
- Assist users with software applications, login issues, and system navigation.
System Maintenance
- Install, configure, and update hardware and software systems including support for O365 and Active Directory.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to IT equipment.
- Monitor system performance and escalate issues as needed.
Network & Security
- Support basic network troubleshooting (e.g., connectivity, VPN, Wi-Fi).
- Assist with user account management, permissions, and access control.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.
Documentation & Training
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions to align to audit requirements.
- Create user guides and documentation for common IT procedures.
- Provide training and onboarding support for new employees.
Collaboration
- Work closely with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software support.
Education / Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred but not required with relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or help desk roles preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, remote desktop tools, and ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $52,500.00 to $61,800.00. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
