Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving the accuracy of inventory within the warehouse. This role ensures that all products are properly received, stored, tracked, and documented in accordance with company standards and operational requirements. The specialist performs regular cycle counts, investigates inventory discrepancies, and partners closely with warehouse operations, purchasing, and logistics teams to support efficient material flow. This position plays a key role in ensuring product availability, minimizing stock variances, and supporting overall warehouse productivity and integrity of inventory data.
Primary Duties
Responsible for performing regular, scheduled inventory counts in support of the SATV cycle count program
· Fulfill miscellaneous count requests from other requesters outside of the cycle count tool
· Operate stand-up forklift, order picker, and pack mule to complete cycle counts
· Identify and communicate opportunities for improved inventory management based on findings during count process
· Review and investigate inventory discrepancies brought to light through cycle count program and/or daily production/warehouse activities
· Continuously look for system and process improvements to aid future count activities
· Oversee packaging used for production/shipping activities to ensure storage plan is up to date while being the primary contact for vendors
· Ensure a safe work environment for all employees and visitors.
· Ability to be flexible, cross train, and adapt to change.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
Warehouse experience required, inventory control experience preferred. Intermediate/developing 1-3 years
