The Engineering Technician supports the Product Engineering team by assisting with the development, testing, validation, and improvement of new and existing products.

Primary Duties

  • Utilize a 3d Scanning Romer Arm to collect scan and probe data for upcoming design projects 
  • Work off a schedule so data is collected prior to project start dates 
  • Assist in creating or modifying technical documents and standards 
  • Measure all prototype projects utilizing a CMM and hand measuring tools 
  • Work and communicate closely with all team members from engineering and other functional areas 
  • Accurately report all data so that designs are correct, and parts are validated effectively
  • Follow all safety, quality, and documentation standards

Qualifications

  • Experience using hand measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers, as well as experience using a Tomer type measuring arm
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, documentation systems, test software a plus)
  • Experience in DezignWorks, Solidworks and Polyworks is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment

Education / Experience

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or product development environment preferred
