Job Summary
The Director of eCommerce at SuperATV plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s digital commerce landscape. This leadership position is responsible for steering the comprehensive strategy that drives online sales and customer engagement across multiple channels, including Direct to Consumer (DTC) and third-party marketplaces. The role demands a balance of visionary thinking and hands-on operational management to ensure sustained business growth, profitability, and an exceptional customer experience. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, operations, and external partners to deliver integrated digital commerce solutions. The Director of eCommerce is instrumental in guiding the company’s efforts to achieve competitive positioning and long-term success in the evolving eCommerce environment.
Primary Duties
eCommerce Ownership
- Develop and execute strategy to drive revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Own the overall performance and execution of SuperATV’s digital commerce channels.
- Ensure consistent, high quality customer experience across all digital touchpoints.
Platform and Marketplace Leadership
- Provide leadership and oversight across all eCommerce platforms and marketplaces.
- Ensure strong execution standards for catalog quality, content, promotions, and inventory.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for digital commerce and marketplace operations.
Revenue and Performance Management
- Own key performance metrics, including revenue, conversion, traffic, average order value, and repeat purchase behavior.
- Partner with Finance to forecast performance, evaluate initiatives.
- Balance growth initiatives with margin, operational capacity, and long-term customer value.
Marketing, CRO, and Lifecycle Strategy
- Collaborate with Marketing and agency partners to align paid media, SEO, CRO, and merchandising strategies with business goals.
- Oversee lifecycle and retention marketing efforts to improve customer engagement and LTV.
- Champion data driven experimentation and continuous improvement across the journey.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead a high performing team, providing clear direction, accountability, and coaching.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to ensure alignment and execution.
- Promote a culture of ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement.
Analytics and Insights
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in eCommerce reporting and performance analysis.
- Use data and insights to guide decision making, prioritize initiatives, and evaluate outcomes.
- Communicate performance trends and recommendations clearly to leadership.
Fraud, Risk, and Operational Readiness
- Maintain oversight of fraud prevention and risk management across digital channels.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure readiness during promotions, launches, and peak periods.
- Ensure processes and escalation paths are in place for critical eCommerce issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is highly preferred; a Master’s degree or related is preferred.
- 10 years of experience in eCommerce or digital commerce, including 3-5 years in people leadership or management capacity with responsibility for revenue and performance outcomes.
- Experience with omnichannel commerce, performance marketing, and customer lifecycle strategies. Proven success managing both DTC websites and online marketplaces.
- Preferred: Experience with Adobe Commerce, Klaviyo, and Dynamic Yield.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution.
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading teams and working cross functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
