Job Summary
Join our team as a Material Handler Class II, a vital role ensuring the efficient management and movement of materials within our operations. This full-time position offers a dynamic work environment where accuracy, organization, and teamwork are paramount to support production and distribution activities. This role utilizes equipment that can go up to 75 feet in the air, all candidates must be comfortable with heights.
Primary Duties
- Receive, inspect, and accurately document incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move inventory within the warehouse and production areas.
- Prepare materials for shipping and staging by picking, packaging, and labeling items according to established procedures and customer requirements.
- Maintain organized and clean storage areas to optimize space utilization and enhance safety across the facility.
- Collaborate with inventory control and production teams to coordinate material availability and timely delivery to support manufacturing schedules.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in monthly physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy of stock records.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly and suggest improvements for material handling processes.
- Adhere strictly to all workplace safety protocols and policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and material handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment, particularly in material handling roles.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently; forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, standing, and moving materials throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment by following all health and safety regulations.
Education / Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in material handling or warehouse operations is essential. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it shortly after hiring is required.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
