Job Summary
Join our team as a Material Handler Class II, a vital role responsible for efficiently managing inventory, materials, and supplies in support of our full-time operations. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in an organized, fast-paced environment and are dedicated to maintaining streamlined workflows within the warehouse or production areas.
The Shift: Sunday - Thursday 9:30pm - 6:00am
The Pay: $17.60 + $2.00 Differential
Primary Duties
- Receive, inspect, and accurately document incoming materials to ensure quality and completeness.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations, maintaining clear and accessible inventory systems.
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipping or production, ensuring all orders are fulfilled correctly and on schedule.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently in compliance with company safety standards.
- Coordinate with other departments to manage supply levels and support production demands, reporting discrepancies or shortages promptly.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by adhering to organizational standards and participating in routine safety checks.
- Assist in inventory audits and cycle counts to keep accurate and up-to-date stock records.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing material flow and reducing handling times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in material handling or warehouse operations is preferred; prior experience with Class II material handling is a significant advantage.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse safety protocols.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling machinery safely; certification is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to track and manage materials accurately.
- Good physical stamina, capable of lifting and moving heavy objects regularly in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Comfortable using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications for inventory tracking.
- Must be good with heights.
Education / Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in material handling or related fields is essential for success in this role, with opportunities for on-the-job training and skill development provided.
