In this role the Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for supervising and coaching employees while working the shop floor. In addition to this, the Industrial Maintenance Technician's day will mainly consist of fulfilling general maintenance duties. Come join the Dayton team!

Primary Duties
- Extensive working knowledge of machine operations and procedures.
- Maintain productivity and quality stands in the absence of a supervisor or assist the supervisor as needed daily.
- Must project a positive image of the company and ensure strict adherence to the company policies and work rules.
- Lead persons will assist in the training of new employees, coordinate workflow, promote safety, productivity, and quality.
- Documentation of productivity, safety, and other issues for the supervisor to act upon
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Must be willing to attend Leadership Training during off hours.
Qualifications
This position requires an individual experienced in industrial maintenance. Must possess skills necessary to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on shears, punch presses, furnaces and various other types of equipment used in the forging process. Experience on reading electrical schematics, hydraulics, following Pm work sheets and personal computer is necessary. Experience on AC frequency drives, welding, machine shop / fabrication skills, and PLC is a plus. We supply all the tools needed and offer training courses to further your career with Dayton Parts. This position will be awarded based on basis of skills and qualifications.
Education / Experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities, with ability to work extended hours or flexible shifts.
- Strong Decision-making, problem-solving, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
- Computer Savvy
- High School Diploma, Degree from a vocational school is a plus
Professional certifications (e.g., CMRP or HVAC certified) are not required, but they are a plus!
