Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician (Maintenance Tech IV) to join our team full-time. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of our electrical equipment and systems within an industrial setting. This position calls for a strong technical background, attention to detail, and commitment to safety standards.

Primary Duties

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in industrial environments to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to plan and execute electrical work effectively.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades, minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies while conducting all tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and materials used.
  • Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to assess electrical systems’ performance and troubleshoot faults promptly.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to electrical systems or maintenance procedures.
  • Participate in safety training and promote a culture of safety amongst peers and contractors.
  • Support emergency repairs as required, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance technician with extensive knowledge of electrical systems in heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and maintenance best practices.
  • Skillful in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit analyzers.
  • Ability to perform detailed troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate and document technical information.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adherence to company policies.
  • Capacity to work within a team and support continuous improvement efforts.

Education / Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship or technical training program. Extensive hands-on experience in industrial settings is essential, with demonstrated proficiency in electrical maintenance and repairs. Relevant certifications or licenses, such as Journeyman Electrician or equivalent, are highly valued and preferred.

The US base rate for this full-time position is 31.5. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
