Job Summary
The Industrial Electrician, formally recognized as Maintenance Tech IV within our operations, plays a pivotal role in sustaining the efficiency and safety of our production facilities. This full-time position calls for a seasoned professional adept at diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a broad range of industrial equipment and systems to support seamless manufacturing processes.
Primary Duties
- Conduct comprehensive troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems integral to production machinery.
- Skilled diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, including motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor controls, and control circuits operating up to 480 volts, ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards.
- Perform detailed inspection, replacement, precise alignment, and lubrication of bearings and other critical rotating components to optimize equipment performance and lifespan.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance programs in accordance with company protocols and industry best practices to proactively avert equipment failures.
- Operate hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments, in a safe and effective manner to facilitate repair and maintenance tasks.
- Investigate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures to minimize production downtime through timely and accurate solutions.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) activities for repeated or significant equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective actions that enhance operational reliability and reduce unexpected stoppages.
- Interpret and utilize electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide repair, installation, and maintenance efforts.
- Install, calibrate, and test machinery and control systems to verify operational integrity and safety compliance before commissioning.
- Maintain precise documentation of work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment histories using company-maintained systems and software.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Contribute expertise to equipment upgrade initiatives, new installations, and facility improvement projects aiming to elevate production capabilities and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, providing support to production teams to minimize operational interruptions.
- Proactively identify opportunities for enhancing equipment reliability, suggest process improvements, and recommend robust preventive maintenance strategies aligned with continuous improvement goals.
Qualifications
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED is mandatory; completion of technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or related disciplines is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing environments, demonstrating familiarity with the demands and safety practices of such settings.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Proficiency in working with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor controls, and electrical systems rated up to 480 volts.
- Hands-on experience with bearing replacement, alignment techniques, and maintaining mechanical components of rotating equipment.
- Demonstrated understanding of preventive maintenance methodologies and implementation within an industrial context.
- Competent and safe use of standard hand and power tools required for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Capability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately to perform maintenance activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective resolution of complex equipment issues and communication with team members and supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance history.
- Basic welding and light fabrication skills to support repairs and modifications, though not a strict requirement.
- Relevant industrial maintenance certifications or advanced technical education credentials.

The US base rate for this full-time position is 32.60. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
