Job Summary
As an Industrial Electrician (Internal Title: Maintenance Tech IV) working full-time, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of electrical systems within our industrial facilities. This position requires hands-on expertise, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain optimal production uptime.
Primary Duties
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical components including wiring, motors, transformers, control systems, and PLCs in industrial environments.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to identify and mitigate potential electrical system failures.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to implement improvements and troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Interpret and work from drawings, blueprints, and schematics to install and configure electrical systems according to specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, electrical codes, and company safety policies at all times.
- Document completed work including maintenance logs, repair reports, and equipment status updates to support operational transparency.
- Participate actively in safety meetings and contribute to the ongoing improvement of workplace safety culture.
- Support emergency response activities involving electrical faults or equipment failures to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Certified electrician license or equivalent industrial electrical certification is required.
- Strong experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and variable frequency drives (VFDs) is essential.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including high and low voltage distributions.
- Ability to use diagnostic and testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail when performing maintenance and repairs.
Education / Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, complemented by completed apprenticeship or technical training in industrial electrical systems. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial setting with progressive responsibilities is preferred.
The US base rate for this full-time position is 32.60. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
