Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Automotive Repair Technician who will perform repairs on a wide range of vehicles, from passenger cars to heavy-duty trucks.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections and diagnostics, performing routine and preventative maintenance, and repairing both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles. Priority will be given to heavy-duty truck inspections, including troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing engine repairs, brake and suspension work, and handling transmissions and drivetrains. A strong understanding of trucks and commercial vehicles is essential, as these make up a significant portion of our service work.
You’ll work alongside a dedicated team to ensure all vehicles meet safety and operational standards. As a key member of the Stanley Springs team, you’ll help us maintain our reputation for excellent customer service and high-quality repairs.
Primary Duties
- Hands-on and mechanical installation work on various vehicles (Primarily Heavy Duty)
- Must be able to perform alignments and road test medium to heavy duty trucks, buses, and motor homes.
- Performing repairs such as removing and installing undercarriage suspensions and replacing springs (front and rear)
- Occasional welding of frames, rebuilding torque arms, and removing/installing bushings on suspensions
- Replacing spring hangers, ball joints, and king pins on passenger cars and heavy duty trucks
- Acting as a mentor for junior mechanics
- Executing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedure instructions
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in calculating figures and amounts, applying basic algebra and geometry concepts
- Problem-solving skills in dealing with practical issues
- Capable of interpreting various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Independently performing a wide range of complex duties under general guidance
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six or more years of related experience and/or training
- Valid PA driver’s license
- Inspection license and previous mechanic experience REQUIRED
- Knowledge of welding processes
- CDL-A Certification required
- Pay: $31.00 - $33.00 an hour
