Job Summary

The Manager of Strategic Projects holds responsibility for overseeing the Operations Project Planning and Execution Process (OPPE). Projects identified and managed through OPPE play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's success and the Dorman footprint. This position is instrumental in managing planning through execution of network project performance. The primary duty involves guaranteeing the successful attainment of all budgeted deliverables for each fiscal year with a key focus on cost savings.

Primary Duties

  • Drive operational optimization through the implementation of strategic projects
  • Assume leadership and management responsibilities for comprehensive strategic projects within the network, including oversight of budget allocation and success metric achievement
  • Hold accountability for establishing efficient processes that align with organizational objectives, fostering collaboration among site-level teams to formulate and delineate project timelines, implementation plans, and execution strategies
  • Spearhead workflow enhancements that are in alignment with the team's dual mission: 1) Maximizing the Customer Experience and 2) Cost Mitigation across the Network

  • Professional interpersonal skills and proven leadership capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and execute a plan in a high intensity operational environment
  • Experience collaborating with key stakeholders to support strategic business objectives, interpret data, and achieve results.
  • Results-driven and agile in approach to accomplishing objectives.
  • Comfort managing and coordinating cross-functional teams. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs
  • Flexibility to be a utility player where needed as the business evolves. 
  • Previous SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, SharePoint preferred
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or minimum 4 years of experience managing critical operations and/or supply chain functions
