Job Summary

This role will be a critical leader in the Dorman Finance team responsible for leading the Order-to-Cash (“OTC”) (credit and accounts receivable) and Procure-to-Pay (“PTP”) (accounts payable) functions. The role reports to the Sr. Director, Financial Shared Services, and directly supervises 2 managers and 2 team leads, with an overall department of 24. 

Primary Duties

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all AR operations, including invoicing, collections, cash application, credit management, and dispute resolution.
  • Manage the month-end and quarter-end AR close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure team performance meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Partner with business units, treasury, and controllership to resolve escalated customer issues and optimize receivables management.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, GAAP/IFRS standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization within the AR function to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing AR team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with IT and project teams to implement new systems, tools, or enhancements supporting AR operations.
  • Support audits and provide required documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the overall strategy and roadmap of the Shared Financial Services organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, technical, managerial, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. 
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to drive a project to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds. 
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.  Noise level is usually moderate.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting / Finance preferred 
  • 5+ years supervisory experience preferably in a finance office setting 
  • 10 years in corporate finance (preferably with publicly traded companies) working with customers, vendors, sales, general accounting, and working capital management
  • Experience with SAP and implementation of process automation is a plus
