Job Summary

The Senior IT Project Manager will play a pivotal role in leading strategic, high-impact IT initiatives that support Dorman Products’ ambitious growth within the dynamic automotive industry. This senior-level position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience managing enterprise-wide, cross-functional IT projects across diverse business domains and technology platforms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence at all organizational levels, including executive leadership. This role demands a proactive leader capable of driving innovation, ensuring alignment with business goals, and delivering measurable outcomes. This is a hybrid role in our corporate headquarters in suburban Philadelphia (Colmar, PA) with the expectation to be onsite three days per week.

Primary Duties

  • Strategic Project Leadership: Lead complex, enterprise-level IT projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic insights, managing expectations, and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Oversee a portfolio of projects, ensuring prioritization, resource optimization, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Advanced Planning & Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, budgets, and resource strategies, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Inspire and lead diverse, cross-functional teams, including offshore and matrixed resources, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify risks and lead change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices in project execution.
  • Development: Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and innovation in project delivery, leveraging lessons learned and industry best practices.
     

Qualifications

  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of enterprise IT systems and business process integration.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, high-budget projects with significant business impact.
  • Experience managing matrixed project teams with onshore/offshore resource model. 
  • Experience working in a PMO.

Education / Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT project management, including leadership of enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • PMP certification desired but not required.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $115,300.00 to $171,500.00. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
